A INFLUÊNCIA DA MITOLOGIA GRECO-ROMANA NO LIVRO PORTÃO DE FERRO, DA POETISA RAQUEL NAVEIRA - THE INFLUENCE OF GRECO-ROMAN MYTHOLOGY ON THE POET RAQUEL NAVEIRA’S BOOK PORTÃO DE FERRO

Resumo

Resumo: O presente artigo propõe um estudo do livro Portão de Ferro, da
poetisa Raquel Naveira, com o objetivo principal de identificar nele os traços
mais marcantes da mitologia greco-romana e conhecer seus novos
significados, isto é, a releitura que a autora fez desses mitos. Em seu livro, a
poetisa consegue fazer uma relação da mitologia com acontecimentos reais,
como o fatídico atentado terrorista ocorrido nos Estados Unidos em 2001,
utiliza-se de recursos metalingüísticos para comparar o poeta a um centauro
e a um narciso, e ainda é capaz de transcrever o surgimento de sua pátria
apoiando-se na mitologia.

Abstract: This present article proposes a study on the book Portão de Ferro,
written by the poet Raquel Naveira, with the main objective of identifying its
most striking features of Greco-Roman mythology and know their new
meanings, i.e., the author’s new interpretation of those myths. In her book,
the poet can make a relation between mythology and real events, such as the
fateful attack occurred in the United States in 2001. She makes this through
the use of metalinguistic resources to compare the poet to a centaur and a
narcissus, and she is also capable to transcribe the appearance of her native
country, using mythology as a resource.
