OBJECTIVE: To generate cartograms illustrating the points of greatest incidence in Goiás of the arboviruses in question and to identify the health and socioeconomic variables related to the territorialization process, aimed at each region. METHOD: This is a cross-sectional analytical study, with spatial and epidemiological analysis of confirmed cases of Zika and Chikungunya in the cities of the State of Goiás between 2015 and 2017. The data collected comes from public platforms such as the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and the Health Surveillance Superintendence of the State of Goiás. The spatial limits were obtained from the websites of the Image Processing and Geoprocessing and Pasture Laboratory. RESULTS: Regarding the incidence of Chikungunya Fever, in 2015, there were no confirmed cases in Goiás. In 2016, the Center presented 57.1% of the cases and, in 2017, this region had 73% of the confirmed occurrences. Zika virus fever had in the 3 years surveyed the central mesoregion of Goiás with a predominance of confirmations, with respectively 83.9%, 92.1% and 81.5%. The southern mesoregion had the second highest incidence in the three years. The socioeconomic variables that obtained a considerable relationship with the two arboviruses were absolute population and number of health units. CONCLUSION: The two diseases portrayed in this study presented considerable epidemiological particularities in the state of Goiás. Thus, this research helps, with geoprocessing, in preventing and combating these diseases and in directing public health programs to more incident regions, individualizing strategies, seeking greater effectiveness in the control of these arboviruses.
